Suzie Abdou is a foreign policy expert and international development specialist on democracy, governance and gender with extensive experience in the Middle East & North Africa. Suzie has over a decade of experience advocating for the rights of women and girls. In her commitment to empowering communities she has successfully fundraised for Arab refugee communities in the EU, international public health programs, and women’s causes. Suzie’s work spans the political spectrum to include working on local and state election campaigns in California. In 2018, she served as a CA Assembly District Delegate and the E-Board representative to the CA Democratic Party. Suzie served on the Advance Team for the 2020 Pete for America campaign and subsequently the Foreign Policy Team and Celebrity Surrogates Team for the 2020 Biden for President campaign. Suzie is currently President of the National Women’s Political Caucus Los Angeles Metro and a Security Fellow with the Truman National Security Project.
