Peggy Honoré, DHA

Peggy A. Honoré, MHA, DHA is the AmeriHealth Caritas – General Russel Honoré Endowed Professor at LSU Health Sciences Center Schools of Public Health and Medicine. She is a leading authority on financing of public health systems. Her research areas include health finance, policy, population health, quality, and workforce. She created two programs for LSU HSC School of Medicine. The Health Policy Honors Program provides medical students the opportunity to graduate as a MD with the distinction of Honors in Health Policy. Students spend 2 months in Congress or other D.C. organizations to work on policy research over their remaining 3 years of medical school. The Population Health Management Clerkship offers medical students a rotation at AmeriHealth Caritas Louisiana, a Medicaid MCO.
