View the replay on our YouTube Channel

Presented in partnership with NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and National Urban League

Climate change can be overwhelming. With rising sea levels, skyrocketing temperatures and omnipresent fires, hurricanes and floods, it can be hard to understand which strategies can truly make a difference. Luckily, the experts on this panel have on-the-ground knowledge of cutting-edge research and innovative interventions.

Join us for an engaging discussion on the ways we can all work together to combat climate injustice and environmental racism in service of birth equity.

Panelists include:

  • Skye Wheeler, Senior Researcher, Women’s Rights Division at Human Rights Watch
  • Dr. Christina Pardo, MD, MPH, F.A.C.O.G., Vice Chair, Quality & Innovation & Director of Health Equity, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate Medical Center
  • Dr. Chris Uejio, PhD, MA, Associate Professor at Florida State University
  • Carolyn Olson, MPH, Assistant Commissioner, Division of Environmental Health at NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (NYCDOHMH)
